Formed in 2025 by a group of passionate expatriates from Bihar and Jharkhand, BJCA – Sydney Chapter was born out of a vision to unite our community in a new land while staying rooted in our shared heritage. What began as a simple forum to connect and support one another has now grown into a vibrant, future-focused organisation committed to cultural pride, community empowerment, and social impact.
Today, BJCA goes beyond just bringing people together. Our mission is to celebrate our traditions, support every member’s journey, and uplift our entire community—both here in Australia and back home in Bihar and Jharkhand.
During critical times like the COVID-19 pandemic, our collective action provided timely aid to those in need. We continue to engage in meaningful causes, offering emergency assistance, empowering local businesses, helping new migrants settle, and working on projects that create lasting impact locally and globally.
We are proud to be an apolitical and non-religious organisation. The Bihar Jharkhand Community Australia - Sydney Chapter is home to professionals and entrepreneurs making significant contributions across fields like IT, medicine, education, engineering, finance, and public service.
Our identity is deeply inspired by our legacy—the intellectual spirit of ancient Bihar, the birthplace of renowned universities like Nalanda, Vikramshila, and Taxila.
